But what about the fabric itself? Well, as a fabric, bamboo is significantly softer than cotton because of the individual fibers which have cross sections filled with micro-holes and micro-gaps, and the end result is a fabric that is as soft as cashmere and as practical as cotton. This is, most likely, the reason that bamboo bedding, bath, baby and clothing products have had an amazing increase in consumer demand of over 5000% since 2004.
